Matthew 4:19

And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Jesus called us to follow Him, not a method, a form of goodness, a religion or some traditions. He always wants us to keep our attention towards HIM and nothing else.

What does it mean to follow Jesus?

To be a disciple of Jesus does not only mean to deny yourself, but also to put Jesus in the place where your old self was as Master and Savior. Listening to the call and doing what he asks of us is what it means to follow Him. To follow Jesus means a life full of joy and sorrow, emotions and pain. To follow Him does not guarantee a life that is without hardships and problems. Following Him doesn’t mean we can separate what He says between what He does or the way in which He does them.

Joshua 1:8

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your moth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
